As mentioned on each of our property listings, for the safety and security of our guests, neighbors, and owners we respectfully request an image of a valid ID from each adult guest and their adult visitors (similar to the way a hotel requires and captures an image guest IDs at check in).
- Checking IDs protects you from a scam where someone fraudulently poses as the guest and checks into the property before the you can.
- Checking IDs protects our neighbors from people who wish not to be identified due to ill intent.
- Checking IDs protects guests, neighbors, and owners, and us as host by giving us a way to follow up with authorities should they need to be involved in any matter.
A drivers license, passport, or military ID is acceptable. Your privacy is important to us. Please be aware that booking platforms do not share an ID you may have already uploaded with hosts, so even if you may have already uploaded your ID to the booking platform, we will still need you to send your ID image to us. We are sorry for the extra step.
After IDs are received we will follow up with check in instructions including an entry code.
We understand that this step is unnecessary for the vast majority of our wonderful guests and we thank you in advance for your kind understanding in this matter.
